i have a 95 dodge dakota 4x4 with a v8 5.7L auotmatic. you have to turn it over at least 3 times before cranking.then when you stop at a red light it dont want to idle. it dies i have to put it in neutral and give it gas cause when its in drive it idles at like a 100. Also it like skips when i go down the road every now and then. I have replaced the EGR valve, o2 sensor, disterbutor cap, plugs ,and wires. i dont know what to do can someone help fast thanks

5.7? did you put the new Hemi in there? I don't recall that size in a '95. You might be thinking of the 5.2. 5.9's didn't come in the Dak's till '99

Check the splice about 4-6 inches below the underhood fusebox. 3 wires into one. Redo that splice preferably soldering it.

The wires are usually red/white.
