 Subject: p0207 code

2001 dakota QC 2WD 4.7L. getiing p0207 code. #7 injector code. has new injector. swapped coil with another position. new plugs. also had ECM sent out to be be tested/rebuilt. still same prob. idles rough. stalls, smoke a lot, smell gas.

Set Condition: No inductive spike is detected after injector turn off.
ECM is not seeing injector firing.
1. Check injector and connector for bent or recessed pin.
2. Swap injectors with another cylinder and see if the symptom moves. If not, suspect wiring to injector #7.

same code with 2 different injectors in #7 position. with wires disconnected at computer and injector, there is no short to ground or each other. wire ohms out at 0 thru harness. looks like computer is holding signal to ground instead of pulsing and injector is on all the time.
