I have a 88 Dakota manual v6. I found carb v8s now I need
to know what what be the best manual tranny for it. If I
could use a magnum v8 5 speed or if I would have to use a 4
speed from a early 80s RAM. Please help. I want to use as
much factory bolt UPS as I can

Just grab a factory V8/ late V6 NV3500 and be done with it.
