because the guys i work with have them i when we have raced i have beet them. beside already spent the money on the 4bbl. and the engine i want require the air flow of a 4 bbl oher than the 2 bbl. i was running an 11.5 when my truck was and after i have changed everyting thats has been changed so far. i'm running 8.78 in the 1/8 mile.

Dan, here are the mods you've listed: headers, no cat, 4bbl intake & TB, MP PCM. Please tell me you also have twin turbo charged ur truck or something drastic to hit 11.5 in the 1/4. Also, have you been using it as a daily driver for the past 3 months that it has been idling @ 3000RPM? Is your torque converter and transmission replaced daily? How are those brakes doing? None of what you are saying makes sense. haha

i also have a 1993 mustang gt and a 1998 mustang gt. i drive them during the week and my truck only on the weekends. i never said my truck ran a 11.5 in te 1/4. i said it ran 11.5 stock in the 1/8 on stock tires. and now that i have done the mods my times are 8.78, 8.9. they were with 26-10.5-16 et streets and a 150 shot. i have taken it to a 1/4 mile track and ran a 12.26. i have only went to a 1/4 mile track 1 time. i have taken my truck to the 1/8 mile track almost every friday and saturday. on street tires at the track my best time is a 9.25 and spin bad off the line. i have reduced the shot to a 100 shot now.

Dan, The wires are like this for the 4 barrel:
orange next to the firewall, orange/blue stripe
middle, black/blue stripe front. Mine was weird
like yours but settled down after I cracked the
blades and reduced the TPS voltage. Reset the
computer after each change. Opening the rear
butterfly increase TPS also. Is there a loud
sucking sound thru the IAS port?
Be patient, you'll get it.

yes there is a loud whistleing coming from the iac valve. the wireing on my tps sensor is not like that at all. it is orange with blue tracer in back, black with blue tracer in middle and orange in front. i will change the wireing tonight. and see what happens. i also checked the gasket between my tb and spacer nothing is being blocked. thanks.

when the wires are correct you should be able to
set the idle. I found the small link that opens
the front plates was too tight and wouldn't
allow the plates to close. This is hard to see
and I had pulled most of my hair out before I
figured it out. I added a very thin washer under
the shoulder bolts to keep it loose. Leave the
front shoulder bolt loose so the idle can be set
mostly with the front plates. Reset the PCM and
crank'r up. The excess flow thru the IAC should
be much less. I also added an additonal light
coil return spring to the rear linkage.

i change the wire to black in front orange blue in middle and orange in back the whistleing went away about 3 minute after the engine is running, and noww it idles at about 1100 rpms. i added a throtle return spring to the tb and it brought the idle down to 800, but when im driving the check engine light comes on after about half throtle and i lose over drive. when i come to a stop and take off the engine pops through the intake and accelerates slow. how exactly due you change the voltage of the tps sensor. i found that if i reset the check engine light it runns fine but hit half throtle or more light pops on.

i checked the codes for the check engine light, it
is for the throtle position sensor. i went to dodge and bought a new sensor. installed it. left the wireing black blue in front, orange blue in middle and orange in rear. it still pop through the intake and accelerates slow, but the check engine light is not coming back on and trans shiftes fine. the guy at the dodge dealer said the sensor just went out due to whichever way it was wired. he also told me that there is suposed to be a new style tps sensor coming out some time for the 4bbl tb. i think it might be a little easier to talk over the phone wesb if you want email me your email adress so i can email you my phone # so we can talk over the phone. my email is sprayinfivenine@hotmail.com

why keep wasting time and money on a dodge dakota rt with a 360 4bbl and put it to good use with a dakota rt viper engine it will be faster scarrier and better in the long run and there are only 3 out here right now. why not join the elite rts
