Subject: 1992 Dakota rear end IP: Logged
Message: I have a 1992 Dodge Dakota with a 318 engine. I need to replace the rear end and found one that is a very good buy. Only problem is it's out of a 1989 and I don't know if it will work in mine. The 92 Dakota universal bearing caps come in 2 Diff. sizes, mine is the larger size. If I buy the rear end, and it has the smaller size, is it a hard job to swap yokes? Also, will I run into other problems?
Thanks

Message: I found out that "Crossover" universal joints are available. These cups are two sizes in one.
