 Subject: 4.7 quest to power

so i sold my cobra and i want to get back into a dakota BUT id like to get the dakota to 300rwhp through and auto or manual
now i know the 4.7 is sohc which isnt the greastest design to achieve power w/o big cubes therefore w/o having to get a supercharger what can i do to get this
i know about ford ohc motors but not dodges
all help greatly appreciated
