Subject: 4.7 Thermostat IP: Logged
Message: Where do I get a 180 degree thermostat for a 2002 Dakota with a 4.7? Looking around on all the auto parts websites, all they have listings for are 195 degrees stats.
Does anyone have a napa, autozone, advance or o'reillys part number for a 180 degree thermostat?
thanks!

Message: It looks like Jet Performance Chips makes 180's. JET Stat
Part #: 10177
They seem kinda pricey but i haven't seen anybody else make em.
I'm kinda thinking about getting one for my 04.
If you end up getting it, or find another supplier, let us know.

Opens and closes to maintain a certain temp and
allow coolant to flow when it's reached.

Message: For one, the cooler the eninge runs the more timing advance you can run which will increase power.
