Where do I get a 180 degree thermostat for a 2002 Dakota with a 4.7? Looking around on all the auto parts websites, all they have listings for are 195 degrees stats.

Does anyone have a napa, autozone, advance or o'reillys part number for a 180 degree thermostat?

thanks!

It looks like Jet Performance Chips makes 180's. JET Stat
Part #: 10177
They seem kinda pricey but i haven't seen anybody else make em.
I'm kinda thinking about getting one for my 04.
If you end up getting it, or find another supplier, let us know.

"What does a 180 thermostat do?"

Opens and closes to maintain a certain temp and
allow coolant to flow when it's reached.

For one, the cooler the eninge runs the more timing advance you can run which will increase power.
