my friend has a 2000 rc silverado 4.8L and i have a 1997 ext cab dakota 5.2L, both 2wd. well, anyways we both pull up at the light side by side and on the other side of the light it merges to one, i was in the merging lane. so, i was watching both lights and when ours turned green, i was gone but he was there with me but no chance of passing me.his front bumper was at my rear wheels the whole time. i had better traction with my 275/60/17 bfg comp t/a's, and hes running stock tires and wheels. but we both spun alittle. we both have the same mods: dual flowmasters.
but damn, this really made my night. when we got to another friends house he tried to come up with every posibe excuse to why he lost. poor looser
oh, if you guys have any ideas to make him and easier kill(more distance between us) please emil them to me or post them for me. thanks.

tell him to get a ford...most of my friends drive GM and I can beat them anywhere...I cant blow past them but I can walk away with my 92 5.2...But I have raced a couple of fords with 5.0's and they are a big joke...

When I first got to this page and started to realize the potential of these little trucks I found a black silverado with dual pipes sticking out the back at a stop light. I was kinda pushing the light and to be honest feeling a little geeky. Until the light turned green and I popped the clutch-The silverado was spinning. and we were off This was a four lane highway going up an 8% grade we were doin' over 100, I back off he passes me, I pass him after a while I was just playing with him letting him catch up- well about this time the missus is just SCREAMING at me. THe exit came up and I got off-I just love my truck!
