I went through a big puddle of water and my truck
shut off in the middle. when i tried to start it
back up it sounded like the battery was dead, not a
hitch but all my lights and stereo worked. i got it
home and the exhuast was full of water and there was
water on the top of some of the pistons (shes a V8
Auto) i tried my best to get all the water out but
it seems to bind up somewhere ? could there be
something simple bringing up some where or is my
motor toast :(???

The cylinders are full of water.
Pull all the plugs and crank the engine until no more water comes out.
Disconnect coil before doing this.

Water doesn't compress, so when you try to crank the engine the piston can go no further because of the water.
Hope no connecting rods are bent.

Some one told me i might have a crank bearing
overlaped, because when i put a wrench on the crank
it only goes three quarters of a turn and back that
far.... still got the old motor in for the next day.
If anyone has anymore quick fix suggestions they
would be greatly appretiated. thanks
