 Subject: 95 5.2 temp sensor

I recently purchased a second dakota, a 95 5.2 4x4 auto. I cannot get the temp gauge working. I know the gauge in the dash is working and the sensor is good. I was wondering if anybody has a wiring diagram for this circuit so I may be able to run new wires from the sensor for the gauge...or where to find them?
Also it may be up for sale soon because i may not need it if anybody is interested.

I have tried 2 different sensors. I would imagine one of them would at least show something even if not completely accurate.

Which sensor did you replace? There are 2.
One that sends coolant tempt to pcm and one for the guage in the cab.

The one next to the distributor is the cab sensor and that is the one i tried. It is irrelevant at this point now anyway, the engine in the last 2 days has developed one hell of a rod knock...unless anybody has a donor 318 in northwest indiana to offer this truck may be toast.....anybody need parts from a 95 dakota extended cab 5.2 auto 4x4?

There are a few salvage yards in NW indiana. Also, there used to be a huge one not far from indianapolis I used to go to on occasion. I can't think of the name, but they were well known as having a huge selection.

The sender next to the dizzy is the OIL PRESSURE sender.
The two temp senders are up front on the intake manifold

good call on the sensor, for some reason i was thinking the one in the back was coolant. I did find the sensor in the front for the temp and found the problem. I did sell the truck this afternoon too so, thank you.
