 Subject: Mopar pcm question

Does anyone know where I can get a mopar performance pcm for a 2000 Ram and get the vin flashed in? KRC charges $355 + shipping, and I just wanted to see if anyone else has another source that is cheaper.

Try Mancini Racing or Summit. I just got mine for my Dakota and it was $289 plus shipping. The dealer can flash the VIN and mileage for you. It states in the info that comes with the PCM that it should be around a 2/10th of an hour charge.

The problem is most local shops will ahve at least a 1/2 hour minimum charge, maybe even an hour. So unless yopu have something else for them to do with that time you will pay more then 2/10th of an hour labor. Different years cost a different amount. The first MP PCMs from the early 90's are only about $250, but a new 2000 (the last year they were made) for $355 flashed is a good deal. You might find somebody with a similar price but you won't beat it by much if any.

I got mine from www.southeastrt.com for 280.00 Shipped plus i had to pay my local dealer $48.00 to flash it so $328.00 all together only took them about 10 mins

I just picked up a 2000 MP PCM for $318 from http://www.mopartsracing.com
In revisiting that site, it looks like you could pick up your Ram's PCM for the same price.

Nope. Mopar quit making PCM's with the 2000 model year. They made federal & California emissions models for both the 2000 4x2 Dak w/5.9L (thankfully the 4x2 works on the 4x4) & 4x4 Durango w/5.9L.
Unfortunately, there is nothing for you 4.7L owners.
