Subject: 1995 Dakota 5.2 PCM IP: Logged
Message: Hello, I posted about my truck in earlier forums because i have a problem with the truck running rough. I recently ran the codes and one came up as (PCM failure no spi communications) along with a few low votage sensor codes. I am going to replace the pcm but before I do I was wondering if there are any second opinions to what this means. Thanks

Message: When I buy a new or refurbished pcm, does it have to be programmed or is it just a plug and play?

Message: Should be plug and play but, I've heard that if there is a factory alarm involved, it will cause problems. Just try to get one from a vehicle with the same configuration and options as yours.
