Maybe there is another code tripping the CEL?
Check codes again. You can do it yourself with the key on/off trick.

Turn the key on/off/on/off/on and the codes will display in the odometer as PXXXX. If there are no codes or it's finished displaying codes it will reas Pdone. And by "on" that's not start.

if its missing you could have a bad ground or the wiring harnes is rubbing behind the motor. soo look at ur harness and make sure there are no breaks. i had the same problem on mine and it happend to be from the harness rubing

Power steering pump
IP: Logged

Message:
Once my 2000 4.7 gets warmed up, I hear a squeeling when I make turns, and sounds like the power steering pump.

Is it difficult to change out the PS pump ? Any special tools required ?

Thanks for the help.

power steering squeeling

I had the same problem with the power steering,do this, it worked in my case. drain the power steering fluid, as much as you can. loose the hose at the pump and let it drain, when there is no more fluid coming out reconnect the hose and add power steering conditioner about 300 or 400ml. and fill to the level with fresh power steering. bingo
