I did it,put a set of 31x10.5x15 Wrangler MT's on my stock 95' Dakota 4x4 SLT Xcab...no issues.Still got good V8 power.

have fun my 1995 dakota has 5.2 and i always runthe same tires and have no problem with power working or playing !

I run these tires on my 92 Dak 4x4.
Torsion bars are cranked to the max, wheels still rub on the
fenders, but who cares anyway......

Its cool,still will do the body lift though.Guy had a USED body lift for sale,$125,came off a Chevy/GMC truck,same "blocks/bolts" as any other kit,I asked him his best price for a USED body lift,he said...$125,I said,"Have a nice day".
