 Subject: check guages

hi, my check guages light came on and i notice the oil level guage is not moving up but there is oil in the engine,i changed the filter thinking it might be clogged, however no change and a knocking noise is developing. any ideas? please respond. thank you

If you have driven the truck or had the rpm higher than idle with no oil pressure you have just destroyed your main and/or rod bearings. Time for a rebuild.
