Subject: 318 coil specs IP: Logged
Message: Does anyone know the resistance specs for the coil on a 95 318? The truck has been sitting for 2 weeks, went to drive it and it wouldn't start. It turns over fine but just randomly hits on just one cyl. Fuel pressure is good. I put a spark tester on it and it is getting some spark. It seems inconsistant. I am thinking it is either a weak coil or a bad ignition module. The coil is right up front and a lot easier to get to so I thought I would to check that first. This is on a half ton ram but I have a dakota and view this site a lot and it seems like there are some sharp guys on here so I thought I would give it a shot. Thanks!!!

Message: Sorry, I haven't worked on many dodge engines, The distributor is in the back of the engnie under the firewall, I didn't even check to see where it was or even if it had one, I guess that I just assumed.
