Most things will void your warranty, a filter and exhaust won't, for example if you put an electric fan on the truck and it overheats even if it was the t-stats fault the dealer will see the fan and use that as a scapegoat

Hey Justin I got a 2001 R/T too and I called the dealership and they said almost anything U do to it won't void the warrantly unless U have a problem that involves what U modified that'll void it then. It won't void it to get it done...and if U take it in for regular things that don't involve what U modified they will repair it. So if U put on a new Throttle Body and a dirt gets in the intake and fuks your engine up they won't fix it. I asked em about the new intake and new exhaust and they said that wouldn't void it.

The problem with modifications and warranties is they are all very subjective. Nowdays, dealers and manufacturers understand that mods will be used. But, sometimes they will blame the mod for a problem... even though it had nothing to do with it. I suggest having a good relationship with your dealer before going crazy with mods.

Just remember... all the dealer has to say is "NO"... then you have to get a lawyer or accept it.

Undercoating under your car by a non dealer voids the rust proof warranty on a vehicle. I don't know how valid that is -- as in the dealer is telling the truth, but that's always what I've read and been told. It's kinda what has kept me from getting one. Any thought on this (undercoating voiding warranty)? I kinda want one still...

Heres what the dealership told me.... you can do anything to the truck except major engine mods, if you do other stuff like roll pan, grilles, bumper cover, we wont warranty it if its in an accident of something, but i accidentaly took my truck in with a chip on it and they didnt care, it messed up some computer readings but they just temporarily took it off.

Justin what chip U got in there? And does it who any improvement from the stock computer? I heard people saying that the Jet Stage II chip shows little improvements at all.

I took my TBS off today and I'm taking that back to where I got it from cuz I heard those don't work on the new R/T's. In case U were thinking about getting one.
