I have a 2001 Dodge Dakota that has idle issues. I replaced the ECM module a couple a months back. It won't idle when cold but runs fine when the truck warms up. I also have an issue with the gas gauge and the alternator gauge dropping out. I can turn on the cruise control the gas gauge pegs out. I turn the truck off and then restart it and all the gauges start working normally. Is this a bad ECM module.???

Try cleaning the Throttle body and replacing the gasket. If that's not helping get a new IAC valve and check for vacuum leaks.
