Message: alright, i am in need of help. i am now on my third dakota, love the trucks but having some issues.first my transmission, been slipping in and out lately. changed fluids and filter but there was no metal shavings or even rubber in the pan. it was all super clean. when i come to a stop it will drop my idle way down and sometimes die. but if i put it in nuetral i can prevent that. second, my power locks do not work. as soon as i put a fuse in it blows. i know there is a short somewhere but does anyone have any idea on where to start or maybe wher ei can get full wiring diagrams. please any info or help would be greatly appreciated. thanks

Message: Well, Josh. If you don't give us some necessary information (what year, what engine, and which fuse keeps blowing), it's gonna be difficult to help you.

Message: Engine problems at idle try IAC solenoid on back of the TB. Trans slipping may be belt related. Power door locks; try unplugging the motors then replacing fuse and see if it blows again. If it does then work back to the Left and right door lock switches. e-mail me at m.colantuoni@hotmail.com and I will send you the wiring diagram. Also look into a Haynes manual for answers to some of these questions.

Message: ok as far as the engine idle goes, the problem is being cause from my transmission. if the tranny is in nuetral of park the engine and idle and everything is fine. but thank you. i will be emailing you.
