I was wanting to change the exhaust on my 99 dakota with a 5.2L and change it all out, but I am EXTREMELY hesistant because I live in an area where emissions are done. I see posts and picks of people doing these types of changes, but I never have heard of whether or not they can pass emmisions or not....I am an "old School" type of person, meaning that I believe that restrictions just make the motor work harder and become less efficient. I would like to put headers and having it be a true dual exhaust. I have no problem putting a hi flow cats on it and mufflers and that is it. The question I have is has anyone passed emmissions after doing something similar????

I have gotten those hi flo cats on cars before and I was never been able to pass....so PLEASE let me know if anyone has gotten them to work??? I really want to do this as it will flow better and be set to overall breathe better if I acknowledge the air intake issue...Like I said I am about functionality and really simplicity....

So if you can, help me out....
