I am thinking about changing my R/T over to carburated just because I am tired of constantly having to screw with all the electronic crap. Ok so I have me a M1 4bbl manifold and was just curious with any other stuff I might have to change out on my 01 R/T. Any help would be great.

It would've been a good idea to ask about this first before you started buying parts, butthat doesn't mean that it can't be done. If you are determined to do it, however, you will need to make alot of changes to compensate for the computer not running the engine. I think that daddio may know of a book that can help you with such an undertaking, but if I remember correctly, it was for pre-OBDII Daks ('95 and earlier). The computer in your R/T runs and monitors just about everything on the truck, including (but not limited to): the ignition, fuel pump, transmission, gauge cluster, etc, and ties them all together. Disrupting one of these will have an effect on at least one of the other function.

This is quite an undertaking, but not impossible. It just depends on what all you're willing to go through.

Also, is it an M1 for a MAGNUM (not LA) engine?
