My check engine light on my '04 Dakota V8 came on when the odometer turned 52000.
Truck is running great, any ideas?

Why don't you check the codes? Then you can post it here and we can determine why it's on.
Turn the key on/off/on/off/on within about 15 seconds. (by on I mean on not start) The codes will display in the odometer as PXXXX, when it's finished displaying codes or there are no codes it will display Pdone.
