Well, Well, I just have to laugh when I read all this about oil! I have been using AMSOIL since 1978 in every vehicle or maybe I should say motor I own. I tore down a 1988 chrysler we purchased new and ran the lowest cost amsoil for 150,000 miles and there was practically no wear in the engine, less than .002 inch at the top of the piston travel. I now use series 2000 AMSOIL in the '96 Avalon and after 153,000 miles the oil never got black changing every 25,000 miles and I have never added oil between changes. Amsoil was making synthetic oil before mobile ever thought about it. In my opinion there has never been a better oil than amsoil period. I know of a ford that has 731,000 miles on the same engine and still going! Never rebuilt!

Mobil 1 oil and Bosch plugs.

Have used Amsoil for many years in very harsh Chicago winters and never had a problem... Series 2000 is their best. I change it once a year and the filter (Amsoil or Baldwin) at 6 month intervals or 12,500 miles
Interstingly most Oil companies recommend longer change intervals in Europe where oil is replaced less frequently. BMW for instance recommends 15,000 miles... It is of course your ride so do what you think is best for you

Vernon, you never had to add a drop of oil in 25,000 miles? That is rather difficult to believe.
