Message: Have you checked the fuse? That's always the first thing to check.

Message: If "won't work" means that the fan doesn't turn on, or that some of the speeds on the fan don't work, it's very likely the blower motor resistor. In my 03, it's under the dash on the passenger side. You should see a connector going to it, and a couple of screws. It's about 10 bucks.

Message: Had the same problem on my 01 (only high speed works, nothing else). Ripped the dash out - figured the switch was toast. The switch assembly is about $330 and some change by the way. Didn't get it. did more research - blower motor resistor. In the '01, descriptive location is on the left of the passenger foot well, up on the left above the duct that dumps air to the feet. the resistor is hidden in the ductwork - is a connector outside the duct with a five-wire connector, two screws. The inside is a flat plate sitting vertically on the mount. I'll be getting the bugger tomorrow (lived with this for about three years, would be nice to have something other than BLAST for airflow).
