I know my 97 needs ball joints on the right side and likely upper right as well. replace 'em all one weekend.

question though is the a-arm mount to the chassis. do these stock use rubber bushings?

anyone use poly in place of the rubber for these?

(I have not looked into the manual to see what lurks there as yet)

Mac, yes the stock A-arm bushings are rubber. Urethane would aid in handling if you're in nedd of that. Try Energy Suspension they probably have something available in urethane for Dakotas.

For the balljoints, whatever you find make sure they have grease zerks on them.
