At last I have solved the rough idle problem. It took 3 maybe 4 weeks and too much $$ but the problem has been eliminated. The crankcase sending unit must have been bumped or pushed and was not hanging directly over the flexplate. Normally when this unit goes bad the truck will not start, but if it is not broken it still sends a signal. But it will send the wrong signal of it is not hanging directly over the flexplate. Even though that was the first part I checked when this trouble started I had not recognized that it was slightly bent at the bracket, about 1/32 of a ----hair was all it took. when I decided to remove it entirely only then did I notice the difference. And since it was sending a signal to the pcm I was not given an error code. When I straightened this thing out and put it back in and turned the key I think my wife finally reached orgasm and nearly passed out. So two mysteries were solved today, The truck is running as good as always, and I found the ever elusive g-spot. Happy happy joy joy and the dog has also come back.. Life is good at least until I wake up and smell reality again. Thanks for all the positive feedback received. Until the next problem exposes itself Me and my truck will be adding to the 243,000+ miles already traveled.
