 Subject: Hurst Shifter for '01 5spd?

Has anyone istalled a Hurst Comp/plus shifter pn# 391 0155 in their '01 4.7 5spd? I heard that it wont fit due to a few changes made from the '00 year model.But I also hear of a few that say it will work... Anyone tried this?

I tried it and it doesn't work. Not only does the shifter hit the bottom edge of the dash, the ball part of the shifter doesn't correctly fit into into the transmission. Yep, I was a dumb a$$.
