Hello, I don't own a dakota but my mother in law does, and I Was wondering if the dakota are able to display codes by turning the keys on and off 3 times?
reason I ask is I am able to do that on my CTD and I was hopeing to be able to on the dakota as well when she gets here. as she has some small issues happening

I'm pretty sure all years except the '99's(for some unknown reason). Works on my '00.

Actually, '00 was the first year that would display the codes in the odometer. Daddio is right about '99; and most earlier years displayed the code as a series of blinking lights.

hehe I stand corrected!
its an awesome feature, I have a code reader that I was using before a mechanic showed me that trick and it doesnt come up with all the codes. Maybe it can only read the generic ones?
I need more cowbell!
