Subject: Swapping a 2000 Rear End for a 2003 IP: Logged
Message: Long story short I'd like to swap a low mileage
2003 rear end to replace my 2000...one because I
have a small chip on the pinion gear and two I'd
like to have rear disc brakes.
Will it be a straight swap or are there any
issues that might arise? I do have 15" rims but
they are not stockers and someone on another post
said I might have clearance issues with the rear
calipers...any insight?
Thanks!

Message: I know on the fronts you would definitely need 16" wheels, not sure about the rear but it would make sense to have to go to 16".

Message: Same question here...
Need a new rear-end because my 2001 just blew chunks. Actually it's still working but the limited slip clutch parts blew apart all over the inside of the pumpkin.
I have (had) the 9.25 rear.. It would be great to find a used one with disc brakes, but what about the ABS? The proportioning valve? Anything else? Do I just take the hydraulic lines that used to run the drums and now connect them to disc calipers?
