Message: Probably vacuum leak, but hard to know unless you tell us what engine it is.

Message: oh i thought i said, sorry. its a 1999 slt 5.2 4x4. i was looking at it all dam day. it would start then when you reved it and let off the gas, it would immidiatly die. but i was trying to back it out of the garage and i noticed it didnt die, so i drove it up the drive way, and it didnt die. so i drove it around town and it ran fine, better then ever. idk what happend but it seems to be fixed now. knock on wood

Message: Your problem had to do with the ECU, you have to reset it after doing a modification like that. The reason your truck finally started running fine was because the ECU eventually learned the new modifications.
Next time, just unhook the battery while you do any engine modification and that will reset the ECU making it relearn everything when you start it back up the first time.
But yeah, those throttle body spacers really are a waste of money for your engine.
Get on Ebay or something and spend the money on a ported throttle body, you'll get a little less gas mileage but will definitely feel the extra power.
