Smitty, or anyone else. I saw that old post brought up on 4.7L, I was wondering how you flush the engine when you change your oil?
I was taught to change the oil every 3000 regardless. One thing i do when i change my oil is after all the old oil drains out is pour a quart through the fill tube to kinda clean out or rinse the engine with clean oil and let it drain.
I've had my truck for about 10 months now but when I first changed the oil.......black and nasty. Been looking better after each change. But let me know what you do for your engine.
