did dodge ever have a 3.50 gear ratio in the 2nd gen 97 dakotas? i was told only 3.21,3.55, and 3.92 but my tag in the glove box says 3.5. i am having lots of drivetrain problems. anyone with info please just call. anytime, (812) 230-6631

The 3.5 is just an abbreviation for the 3.55 ratio. Nobody (that I know of) makes a 3.50 axle ratio - 3.07, 3.21, 3.23, 3.43, 3.55, 3.73, 3.92 are the usual gears (in 3.xx) from all the manufactures.
