Subject: no horn or cruise IP: Logged
Message: i have a 95 dakota sport, bought it used so no owners manual. the cruise and the horn have never worked all the fuses are good any ideas???

Message: it is probably the clockspring. That is a wire like a computer ribbon wire inside the steering column. It allows the buttons and such inside the steering wheel to be hooked up with the traditional wires getting tangled up when the wheel turns! easy to change with minor tools! Your air bag probably doesnt work either!

Message: Good call Jeremy,i had the same thing and yeah it was the clock spring....very expensive thru a dealer, get it online cheaper,also the airbag light on your dash should stay on if the clock spring is broken and as Jeremy says its easy to change.
