i have a 97 dakota with 318 2wd crew cab. i would like to know how i can tell if i have 9" or 10" rear brakes?

Simple suggestion: crawl under with a tape measure and give it a go.

the drums are stamped with the size maybe just look at the drum through the wheel. i can see the size on mine.

9 or 11 inch not 10! You can tell just by looking as long as you wife or gf/bf hasn't brainwashed you on what an inch is.

You cold always look in the bottom of the glove box....Chrysler has a laminated sheet with Paint Codes, Axle Ratio, and the size of the rear brakes. Just a tid bit of info to pass on
