i ahve a 97' dodge dakota dn i know i need a new combo switch for the brights, wiper and turn signals but i do not ahve any low beam lights. i have changed them and i have parking lights but still no low beam. Any ideas on what to check?

The combo switch should be the first thing to check - as you say you already know you need a new one.
