Message: Is what '03 up ? Would help to know what your aplication is, and just what you are asking. For most years, and '03 for sure, there was no HO intake. Same intake as on the regular 4.7. My Gibson has a nice tone outside, without the drone inside.

Message: When you say "the HO upgrade" do you mean all the differences ? There are quite a few. You can get HO cams from the dealer. The HO motor uses the regular intake for your year.

Message: NC,
As Kowy said, the intake is esentailly the same now, it's bee nmodified a few times since 2000, now essentially being a hybrid of the HO intake so to speak.
The cams are worth it. try www.oemdodgepart.com, for a possibly better price, they'll ship to your door.
Then there is the matter of installing them. the 4.7, 'case you didn't know, is an OHC engine, one on each head.
There are MANY GOOD how-to's on the search website for this site. I think using Google will also link you back in to the search on this site. I forgot the link, someone will post it.
Good luck, enjoy!

Message: ...and, without getting into the differences, I surely haven't memeorized them all, the HO and non HO engines do have quite a few other differences. Again, there are website listing the differences between the two.
However, the cams alone, will get most MOST of the HP/TQ differences.

Message: Cat -back? Unless you like expensive sound, save your money on a better 'bang for the buck' mod.
Programmer- without knowing for sure, I think the SuperChips has an option for the 03. What's nice about it is it's versatility. Change the tune, put it back to stock, change the speedo to match a trie size, etc., all within minutes.
