i want to raise my 02' 4.7L V8 4wd dakota. Could i raise it atleast 2" just by tighting the torsion bars? and will that do any damage to my truck? it has a lot of miles

Probably not - but most of us are able to get close to 2" of height that way. My '00 has been cranked close to 2" since new - 8 years later, I had to replace one lower ball joint. So no, I don't see it as problematic. Just don't expect to get over 2".

thanks for the help. i didnt think i would get more than that anyway i just want alittle more height to off road before i get any type of lift kit
