Subject: HELP: Transmission Problem.. Maybe? IP: Logged
Message: I have a 1993 Dakota with a Magnum engine. Recently it's started having trouble switching gears in the morning. Usually it would be hard to switch from 2nd to 3rd but I could let off the gas a little and it would shift fine and then be okay for the rest of the day. This morning though, it wouldn't go from 2 to 3. The RPMs would hit around 2800 and then it actually died on me. It starts back up with no problem, it just doesn't seem like it wants to get outta 2nd. I think it might be a sticky valve in the tranny and I'm thinking of trying some Lucas additive or some Slick50.. Any suggestions? This is my only vehicle and I don't have the cash for any major repairs...
