Okay heres the problem. i have a 96 dakota and recently i had to replace the blower resistor. But before i found out about the resistor me and my uncle took part of the dash out and checked the blower motor out. now after putting that part of the dash back together the dome light, glove box light, underhood light, and radio dont work. And the day after the dash and switch illumination lights dont work! I checked the fuses and they all seem to be good. What the hell could the problem be!!!!

Hi Hollywood. I have a 96 with a service manual. I looked it up for you. From what you say, and what info I have, it looks like it should be a fuse. But the fuses in the PDC under the hood, not under the dash.

The black box on the drivers side (just behind the battery) is the PDC, and fuse cavity #2 should be the one.(should be a square 5Amp) That fuse feeds power to the M1 circuit, which controls the interior lighting, glove-box, and hood lamps, as well as the memory-line for the radio.

I've had my dash apart a few times myself, and did notice 1 or 2 ground points that use the dash screws. I hope you re-connected all grounds before you put the dash back together. All of your interior lighting lamps ground to the Z1 circuit.

Hope this "sheds some light" on the problem.
