Just got done putting a 5.7 in my 93 shortbox. I still haven't run exhaust or the driveline yet, but it's in and runs. The motor was actually not that hard to get in there, wiring it is another story (the 3.9 to 5.2 swap was cake). The truck still needs body work as I sold it to my sister-in-law after putting in the 5.2, and she wrecked it pretty good. A guy bought the engine and trans from her, so she gave me the shell, and I had this Hemi just sitting there, so I thought, what the heck. The truck screamed with the stock 5.2, 100 more HP should do the trick.
