Subject: 408 stroker? IP: Logged
Message: Is a 408 stroker worth the money? Is it better to build one out of the 360 I got with 30k or buy one? Also, is that as big as you can get in a Dak? Someone told me that these trucks dont have R/T heads and that would be the best thing to do next. Obviously, I'm looking for more power. Any ideas?

Message: Yes 408ci Stroker is worth the money. And 'Yes' you can go as big as 428.67ci out of a stock 360ci block. No Matter if you buy the Rotating Assembly yourself or buy a complete long block make sure you take it or get it from a shop that actually knows MOPARS.
I have a 428.67 (429ci)in my Dak and I run 10.38@128mph in the 1/4 mile. Truck weight is 2,800lbs with me in the seat. This is an 'All Motor' set up with no NOS or other Power Adders.
Copy and paste this URL and you can see the truck run.
