Subject: '02 v8 resistor/relay plug IP: Logged
Message: Pardon my terminology as i am a novice.
Recently my blower motor would only work on the "high" setting. Now that won't work. I pulled the relay/resistor and one of the prongs is burnt, the plug that leads into it has an exposed wire that looks corroded. I'll need to buy a new resistor and my question is: How hard is it to replace the plug? Can I purchase a plug from a dealership and if so, is it fairly easy to replace?
Thanks in advance.

Message: Ask at the dealer when you get the new resistor pack. I have heard the dealer parts dept. is also carrying a plug with about a 6 inch wire pigtail so you can replace the burnt plug.
If not maybe get it at a junk yard?

Message: I just got mine all fixed up I changed the resistor 3 times all along it was the heater motor/fan was just drawing to much so had to get it changed. Try changing the resistor and if it happens again you will have to change the motor/fan.
