 Subject: urgent brake question

we were trying to repair one of the calipers on the front right brake of my 2000 dodge dakota and snapped one of the brackets. Where the caliper bolts bolt on to the cast iron piece what is the name of that iron bracket the threads are on? would it just be considered the caliper mounting bracket?

That would be the front knuckle, and it would have to be replaced.
