how can I find out which transmission I have and which rear end do I have. The sticker on the door jamb doesn't have this info. Does anyone know how I can find out?
2002 Dakota club cab, auto trans, 4.7 v8

The 4 speed auto 4.7 has a 45RFE behind it, while the 5 speed has the 545RFE. Not sure what year it changed, but either way it's basically the same tranny - just with different programming. If you have a round cover on the diff it's the 8 1/4" rear; the 9 1/4 has an octagonal shaped 12 bolt cover.
