Subject: How many.. IP: Logged
Message: I've got a 99 Dakota 4x4 Sport. I can only find 5 grease fittings, 2 at each of the front wheels and 1 on the drive shaft. Is that all or am I missing some? I just started changing the oil in it myself and wanted to make sure I was lubing everything that needed it. Also, is there somewhere online that I can find diagrams or should I just buy a Chilton manual? Thanks in advance.

Message: not all these will have grease fittings, but here's a few places to look
pitman arm
idler arm
two inner tie rods
two outer tie rods
two lower ball joints
two upper ball joints
front driveshaft
u-joints
now like i said, some of those parts don't come greasable from the factory and some do.. and if some of them have been changed to an aftermarket piece, there's a good chance it does have a fitting.
