Subject: Aftermarket Ignition Questions IP: Logged
Message: Help! I don't understand anything about ignitions/auto electronics...
I would like to upgrade my factory setup on my 2001 R/T's ignition (I think),
I'm planning on getting the Borg-Warner cap & rotor, Autolite 3923's, and MSD wires...
My question is, what are the pros & cons of upgrading to a MSD/Mopar capacitive discharge ignition and/or hotter coil?
Am I going to be replacing plugs more often?
I've read some mixed reviews on results in the previous posts, so any information will be greatly appreciated!

Message: You will have to replace your cap and rotor about 6-10,000 miles with the aftermarket ignition. Most people don't notice any difference in power yet I think it does help a little.
