Subject: Exhaust Questions... IP: Logged
Message: Ok, i've got an x-pipe, and 2 40series flowmaster mufflers, where is a good place to find some fairly cheap high-flow cats?
I've also heard that stock dodge cats are already high flow...does anyone know any truth to this?

Message: what year and motor are you talking about here?
After removing my 3rd cat in my 2002 4x4 4.7L, I tried to look throught it, and I could only see about 1/4" of light. I only had 10,000 miles on it and I drive the freeway about 75-80% of the time.

Message: I couldn't see anything on mine when I got my third cat replaced at like 5500 miles. If I get a turbo I think I'll just bypass those two and go single 3" out from the downpipe. From what Bernd at Speedtweaks said, the pre-cats are pretty high flow already.
BTW, you can get some high flow cats from Speedtweaks.net.
