Message: 2002 dakota will not crank. All lights and guages work. Car hood was washed underneath yesterday. Interlock was replaced on recall last week.

Message: If you have automatic transmission, try starting in neutral instaed of park. Kinda wiggle the shift stalk when you do. Hell, put your foot firmly on the brake and try starting in all gear positions. Maybe the interlock needs adjusting.

Message: It was the safety interlock switch. When they replaced it on recall they did not crimp the wire correctly and it just fell off. I did all the checks to narrow it down and then used a remote start to get it back to the dealer. They fixed for free as they should.
