could just be a loose connection, could be a bad injector. you could start with making sure all the injector electrical connections are clean and tight then reset the PCM and if the codes reappear then it's time for more trouble shooting.

Cleared codes-They have not returned. Looks like the truck had a murphy moment. Good to know the numbering pattern. Hope I don,t need it for another 80,000. Bye.

That's way too technical for me.

Too technical ? I'd hope not - while some have different firing orders, that's the same way all typical v8 cylinders are numbered...

I was just poking fun at codes for his use of the highly technical term "numbering pattern".

larrys pattern of response shows a
lack of good manners. Also- there are some old engines with 1-4 on one side and 5-8 on the other. Not typical but out there.

Ford numbers their V8s as larryspattern pointed out. Everyone else numbers their V8s as God intended... :-)

I stand corrected; never been much of a Ford fan. I see they even start with cylinder 1 on the wrong side (passenger)! All the mopars, AMC, and GMs I've owned were numbered the same way. Seems there's an exception to just about everything...

Larry was pretty fast with the bitchy lip. The military taught me to check basic info first, on any unfamiliar equipment. Some of you remind me of the English, who believe that the rest of the world is driving on the wrong side of the road. Not wrong-just a different side of the rode.
