its idling ruff and wanting to stall till I step on the gas a little,i opened it up and nothing seems to help

Ok I'm not as tec savy as you all but
I went to go have my 06 Dakota check
because of the same problems they
said it was my over head cam sensor
I'm going to be installing it with my
husband but have been told it was in
two different places mind you it is a
4.7 v8 one was on the left side and
one was on the right side of the
engine I thought the cam sensor was
on the driver's side close to the
alternator and the other side was was
the crank shaft positioning sensor
I'm not totally 100% sure so if any
one could tell me if that's right or
not I appreciate the input
